Meeting to raise concerns about service delivery to be held

“Councillors are members of the legislature arm and not the executive arm of local government."

Residents of Ward 18 in Edenvale are invited to attend an extended Ward 18 committee meeting to discuss service delivery in Edenvale.

The meeting, to be held on April 19, will give community members the opportunity to share their dissatisfaction with service delivery in the ward.

It will be held at the Edenvale Council Chambers from 6.30pm to 8pm.

Residents from Elma Park, Hurlyvale, Edenglen, Isandovale, Illiondale, Sebenza, Edendale and Eastleigh, South of Edendale Road, are invited to attend.

“Councillors are members of the legislature arm and not the executive arm of local government,” said Ward 18 Clr Heather Hart.

Hart explained that councillors can only assist residents by escalating matters and by providing feedback to the community.
