Huddle Park hosts St Paddy’s Day Pub Run

The fourth annual St Paddies Day Bush Pub Run was held at Huddle Park on March 16.

The fourth annual St Paddy’s Day Bush Pub Run was held at Huddle Park on March 16.

The 7km night trial run with four themed pubs on the route had participants dressed in their best Irish attire while they tackled the course with headlamps.

The event was organised by Round Table Rivonia 230 and it raised funds for various charities which include children’s homes, Mother of Peace and Door of Hope.

Despite a little bit of rain, nothing could dampen the close to 250 runners who took part in the run.

Different Round Tables from across Gauteng were tasked with manning each of the four pubs.

For the runners, it was like stumbling across four different parties in the dark. The event was a family affair with children in strollers and dogs.
