Die Kneipe means “The Local Pub”

The EXPRESS asked some of the business owners on Queen Street why they believe this street is the king of business hot spots.

Die Kneipe German Pub at 173 Queens Place is owned by Urs and Inge Roos.

Inge told the EXPRESS that she felt that Kensington needed a pub where people could relax in a safe and friendly environment.

The pub offers traditional German food.

Inge said the most popular meals are eisbein and schnitzel.

“There are currently nine employees working for me and we have customers from all over Gauteng,” she said.
