Secure and beautified Edenvale Post Office unveiled

“We want the community to feel safe and happy when they visit the post office.”

Edenvale City Improvement District (ECID) held a ribbon-cutting ceremony recently to unveil a secure and beautified Edenvale Post Office.

ECID recently erected a fence around the post office and re-landscaped the two gardens.

Staff from the Edenvale Post Office show their excitement for the upgrades done by ECID.

Katy Young, public relations officer of ECID, said ECID did the project to create a cleaner, greener and safer Edenvale.

She said the fence will be locked at night and opened in the morning to prevent vandalism of the building.

“We want the community to feel safe and happy when they visit the post office,” said Katy.

Thelma Germishuizen, branch manager of the Edenvale Post Office, thanked everyone for their hard work.

“The post office doesn’t look a grey building anymore. It looks heavenly,” said Thelma.
