AACL Medical staff ready to assist

“As a welfare organisation we strive to ensure the care of the animals admitted to the hospital is of the highest standard.”

The Johannesburg Animal Anti-Cruelty League (AACL) recently announced the addition of staff to the league’s veterinary team.

Carren Nickloes, marketing manager of ACCL, said the league has an additional full-time vet and two veterinary nurses.

Dr Kerry French, Sister Eldring and Sister Power will work alongside principal vet Dr Faizel Suleyman.

The additional medical staff will assist with the workload at the league.

“As a welfare organisation we strive to ensure the care of the animals admitted to the hospital is of the highest standard,” said Faizel.

“Our growth over the past years has been unbelievable.”

Carren said to further assist the community the league will reinstate its Friday morning consultations from April.

Faizel urged community members to visit the centre before veterinary consultation hours.

“Due to emergencies, the workload can change dramatically in an hour,” Faizel explained.
