Girls’ home benefits from BSH fund-raiser
The event was held at at Park Meadows Shopping Centre.
Elvis Presley would have been 83 years old on January 8 and to acknowledge his birthday the Blue Suede Heaven Elvis Appreciation Group (BSH) held a fund-raiser in aid of Strathyre Girls’ Home in Kensington.

Wayne Venter from BSH performed well-known Elvis classics which brought people to their feet, singing and dancing along.
R6 000 was raised in aid of the girls’ home and the funds were handed over to Major Naomi Malinga, of the Salvation Army, who is in charge of the home.
