One killed in N12/R24 collision in Edenvale

The driver of the second vehicle was taken into custody.

A man, believed to be in his 30s, died in a collission at the N12 and R24 split in Edenvale this morning.Also read: Serious truck crash on R24 between Edenvale and Barbara roads
A truck and two vehicles were involved in the crash.
ER24 paramedics and other emergency services found one of the vehicles on the island between the N12 and R24. The truck and second vehicle came to a halt some distance away.
Paramedics found the body of the man trapped inside the vehicle.He was declared dead on the scene.The driver of the truck sustained minor injuries and he was transported to a nearby hospital.The driver of the second vehicle was taken into the custody of the local authorities.
