HRS learners ride tall

Sanesa held the qualifiers at Eaton Farm in Midrand on February 10 and 11.

Holy Rosary School’s primary and high school horse riders recently attended the first SA National Equestrian School Association (Sanesa) inter-school qualifiers for 2018.

The Sanesa qualifiers took place at Eaton Farm in Midrand on February 10 and 11.

Results for HRS’ primary school riders were:

• Grace Webber placed 13th for equitation and eighth for show jumping.

• Kate O’Donoghue came 23rd and 12th for dressage test one and two.

• Shelby dos Santos placed 13th and 11th for the show jumping events.

Results for HRS’ high school riders were:

• Tana Leigh Scott came first in equitation, eighth and 16th in the show jumping events, and 17th and 13th in dressage tests one and two.

• Kate Metzer placed fifth and 10th in dressage test one and two, fifth and 20th in the show jumping events, and third and second in prix caprilli dressage tests one and two.

• Jade Phillips came 10th in show jumping, second for both dressage tests, and fifth in equitation.

• Zandri du Toit placed seventh in show jumping.
