CCPF has new plans for the community this year

JOBURG – We will hold the march against women in children abuse and other events which will be communicated with residents in due course.

The Cleveland Community Police Forum (CCPF) is looking forward to the new year.

Chairperson Godfrey Mothibe said the CCPF will be focusing more on areas that include the effective existence and proper management of their four crime sector forums in the precinct.

“We will forge close working relations with community forums such as the Malvern Community Forum, Malvern Business Forum, Cyrildene Community Forum, Kensington Residents Association, The Greater Heriodale Industrial Forum, as well as faith-based organisations, educational institutions and security companies,” he said

Mothibe said the major challenges they faced last year were lack of participation and involvement in the fight against crime, illegal taverns, shebeens, abuse of alcohol, drugs and gender-based violent crimes that include rape, domestic violence and the abuse of women and children.

“We will hold the march against women and children abuse as well as other events, which will be communicated to residents in due course,” he said.
