St Andrew’s matric class achieve 75 per cent grade average

16 learners were in the top one per cent nationally for their relevant subjects.

St Andrew’s School for Girls has received a 100 per cent pass rate for all candidates for the 29th year in succession.

97.3 per cent of learners at the school also achieved a bachelor degree pass and there were a total of 217 distinctions.

This equated to an average of 2.86 distinctions per learner with a total of 38 per cent of all results above 80 per cent.

Matric learners at the school also achieved 70 per cent and over in 73 per cent of their subjects.

The matric class attained an average result of 75 per cent.

Forty-five per cent of the school’s learners also completed an additional subject last year.

Sixteen learners were in the top one per cent nationally for their relevant subjects.

Jenna Long and Lamisah Seedat are placed on the IEB Outstanding Achievement List for being ranked within the top five per cent of learners in six or more subjects and scored 80 per cent or more in Life Orientation.
