Saheti’s Class of 2017 clocked in with 239 distinctions.
This is a new record for the school, with nine candidates achieving meritorious full-house distinctions.
Three pupils were named Outstanding Achievers by the Independent Examinations Board (IEB).

Additionally, 72 distinctions were A+ marks between 90 and 100 per cent across a range of subjects.
Over one-third (36.5 per cent) of the group achieved a distinction average, and 99 per cent achieved a bachelor degree (university access) pass.
Executive headmaster Warwick Taylor said Saheti’s class of 2017 have not only produced top results, but have also displayed the character and leadership qualities that will enable them to become people of influence within society.
“I wish them all of the best as they proceed in their careers of choice,” Taylor said. “I thank the teachers and parents who have supported, guided and taught them. They have certainly been nurtured along a path of success, and as a community we are confident that they have the skills to realise their future potential.”

Panos Hadjipaschalis and Demetra Stephanou were Saheti’s joint top candidates (based on joint highest average), both achieving averages of 94 per cent.
Hadjipaschalis received a full house of nine distinctions, while Stephanou received seven distinctions.
Both were named Outstanding Achievers by the IEB, ranking within the top five per cent of IEB candidates nationally in six or more subjects.

Hadjipaschalis also ranked within the top one per cent nationally in Afrikaans, English, history, life orientation and mathematics, while Stephanou also ranked within the top one per cent nationally in English, geography, life orientation, life sciences, modern Greek and physical sciences.
Stelios Hajimarkos and Nicholas Thomadakis were the school’s joint runner-up candidates, both achieving a full house of nine distinctions and the joint second-highest average at Saheti of 90 per cent.
Hajimarko was named an IEB Outstanding Achiever, ranking within the top five per cent of IEB candidates nationally in six or more subjects. He also ranked within the top one per cent nationally in mathematics.
Thomadakis was ranked within the top one per cent of IEB candidates in history and life orientation.

Irene Baladakis achieved a full house of nine distinctions.
She was ranked within the top one per cent of IEB candidates nationally in English and life orientation.
Ioanna Christopoulos achieved a full house of eight distinctions.
She was ranked within the top one per cent of IEB candidates nationally in business studies.
Alexander Sorore received a full house of seven distinctions.
John Statheros achieved a full house of nine distinctions and was ranked within the top one per cent of IEB candidates nationally in life orientation.
Nokwanda Mthembu received a full house of eight distinctions, while Marko Komninos also achieved eight distinctions.
Orvin Spirou achieved eight distinctions and was ranked within the top one per cent of IEB candidates nationally in life orientation.
Alki Anastassiou, John Charalampopoulos, Gabriela Evangelou, Konstantina Giangou and Jordan McLean each achieved seven distinctions.
Caelin Aikman, Ioanni Balassis, Irene Diakoyannis and Kyra Gladwin all achieved six distinctions.
