Once again students from Reddam House have gone way beyond the requirements of the curriculum and their school.

Once again learners from Reddam House Bedfordview have gone way beyond the requirements of the curriculum and their school.

Reddam Bedfordview learners who received awards for their involvement in community service in 2017.

They have set the bar in terms of volunteering community hours.

Reddam House Bedfordview awards gold certificates to learners who have logged 120+ hours, silver for 80 to 119 hours and bronze for 40 to 79 hours.

This year, ten learners achieved gold, four achieved silver and 16 achieved bronze.

Reddam’s two top achievers in 2017 were Jessica Powell and Jonathan Ribeiro. At an awards assembly Jessica Powell was awarded her Honours Blazer for service.

During 2017 she was selected as the School Sleepout Ambassador which contributed towards her completing over 251 hours of community service. What’s more, she achieved Honours for Sport.

Then there was Jonathan Ribeiro who was awarded the Social Leadership Trophy for notching up 301 hours of community service and received the Lowe Social Leadership Award for completing the most individual hours in 2017.

2017 has seen learners in the top ten at Reddam volunteer for 1 939 hours. These selfless volunteers were in turn led by their teacher James Taylor who led, inspired and motivated these learners to achieve these fantastic results.

Third highest achiever Kiandra Ramdari notched up 228 hours and then there were two Preparatory School learners Alyssa Powell and Matthew Ribeiro who each notched up 222 hours.
