Da Rocha brings joy to children
Clr Carlos Da Rocha is collecting soccer balls for needy children.
Christmas is around the corner and the spirit of giving and sharing is in the air.
Ward 66 Clr Carlos da Rocha is this year again giving back to the underprivileged.
He is collecting soccer balls as Christmas presents for the needy children of Bertrams.
“This is my way of ensuring every child enjoys Christmas and my way of giving back to the community. Every child deserves a little something for Christmas,” said da Rocha.
The collecting of balls has become an annual collection drive hosted by da Rocha.
He invites residents of Ward 66 to help him collect 100 balls.
“Residents can drop the soccer balls at Caffiain at 138 Queen Street in Kensington. The more balls we collect, the more children will receive a gift,” said da Rocha.
Residents can buy the balls and drop them off at the coffee shop or they can buy them at the coffee shop.
“I would like to thank the residents who always support me in collecting soccer balls and would like to invite more residents to donate,” said Da Rocha
