Fun day at Arbor Village

Arbor Retirement Village held a fun day at the village in Bedfordview on November 8.

Arbor Retirement Village held a fun day at the village in Bedfordview on November 8.

Arbor Village, which is part of the Methodist Homes, organises such events on a regular basis to give their staff a chance to mingle and get to know each other better.

Denise Stanton, Arbor Village manager, said this is their way of interacting and getting the members from all the homes in one place where they can learn from each other.

Arbor Village health care workers entertained the crowd with singing.

“There are 15 Methodist Homes, therefore we never get to visit each other and this gives us the opportunity to get feedback and also give feedback to each other.”

A choir made up of Arbor Village health care workers entertained the members with singing.

Staff members were then paired up for a treasure hunt.

“Treasure hunting was the best way to get them to know Arbor Village, because they had to go around the village looking for the treasures,” Denise said.

“All the teams received prizes after the hunt.”
