Edenvale and Greenstone residents took to the streets on Saturday, October 28 to show their displeasure over windscreen washers at intersections.

Over the last few months there have been increasing complaints from motorists about windscreen washers gathering at the Van Riebeeck Avenue intersections with Stoneridge Drive and Modderfontein Road.

The protesting residents were joined by children from Don Mattera, who took the opportunity to voice their concerns over drug abuse, rape and human trafficking.

Members of the Edenvale SAPS Youth Desk were also on hand to show their support for the campaign.
Organiser Leon de Bruin told the NEWS that he also plans to hold a protest at the Bruma intersection in the future.
