Edenvale SAPS festive season operation underway

"Police stations in the cluster will join forces to combat crime and maintain a zero-tolerance approach towards it."

With the festive season almost upon us, the Edenvale Police Station has launched its festive season crime prevention campaign.

On October 26, Edenvale and several other police stations joined forces to conduct roadblocks and stop-and-search patrols in the Edenvale area.

Captain Jean Olckers, spokesperson of the Edenvale SAPS, said a roadblock was held in sector two.

“Police stations in the cluster will join forces to combat crime and maintain a zero-tolerance approach towards it,” said Olckers.

He said future operations will be held in hotspots identified by crime intelligence.

Olckers urged residents to also be vigilant during the upcoming holidays as criminals take advantage of the festive season.

“Report all suspicious activities in your neighbourhood,” said Olckers
