Lawyers lend a hand

Reading recent articles in the NEWS, calling for assistance, also played a role.

The Edenvale Care Centre and Hospice recently thanked Yammin Hammond Incorporated for their recent donation.

The law firm donated a washing machine, tumble dryer and a television to the hospice.

Sister Leigh recently made an appeal to Edenvale community for financial assistance.

Craig McDonald, director of the law firm said the firm’s relationship began with the centre three years ago through the Edenvale Methodist Church.

Craig said reading recent articles in the NEWS, in which Sister Leigh called for assistance, also played a role.

He said the Bedfordview-based law firm wanted to give back to the local community.

“We wanted to lend a hand and try help where we can,” said Craig.

Besides the donation to Edenvale Hospice, Yammin Hammond Incorporated also assist Avril Elizabeth Home, Rest Haven and CHOC.
