Man (29) arrested for 2016 Jeppestown murder

JOBURG – The suspect was arrested at in Jeppestown on September 5.

Jeppe SAPS arrested a 29-year-old man for a murder committed on October 30 last year.

The suspect was arrested in Jeppestown on September 5.

Jeppe SAPS spokesperson, Capt Richard Munyai said on the day of the murder, police received a call about a murder at Consession and Princes informal settlement in Jeppestown.

“Upon arrival, they found 35-year-old Ntethelolo Dlamini lying on a bed with stab wounds all over his body. His wife alleged that he had a fight with the suspect who stabbed him with a sharp object,” he said.

Munyai said Dlamini died on the scene.

“A case of murder was opened but the suspect was on the run until he was eventually arrested,” he said.
