Yeoville SAPS arrested 35 suspects from August 21 to 28.
The suspects were arrested for committing crimes ranging from kidnapping to assault and robbery.
The arrests included:
• One for common robbery.
• Three for kidnapping and robbery.
• Six for assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm.
• One for theft under false pretenses.
• Two for possession of a hijacked motor vehicle.
“The suspects have appeared in different courts and some have paid their fines while others are out on bail and others remain in prison,” said spokesperson for Yeoville SAPS, Capt Sifiso Mabizela.
