Musical duo strike the right chord at Bedfordview Rotary Music Quiz Evening

The evening was a great success as everyone who was there had a magical evening of great music, delicious food and wonderful fellowship with Rotarians, Inner Wheel ladies, friends and guests

The Rotary Club of Bedfordview recently hosted a Music Quiz Evening at the Belgravia Bowling Club.

Rotary Club of Bedfordview Rotarians, Inner Wheel ladies, friends and guests having a fun filled Music Quiz Evening.

The fund-raising event was the brainchild of Rotarian Geraldene Southey and was run by Richard Cock and his daughter Alexandra Trinder-Smith under the banner, Richard Cock Music Enterprises.

The evening was a great success as everyone who was there had a magical evening of great music, delicious food and wonderful fellowship with Rotarians, Inner Wheel ladies, friends and guests.

The father-and-daughter duo aims to raise the profile of classical music throughout Johannesburg and South Africa as a whole.

Although Cock travels widely throughout the country conducting choirs and orchestras at festivals and special events, he focuses on local communities.

Trinder-Smith runs the enterprise from their headquarters in Johannesburg.

Between them they try and make music a fun and interactive activity. They are keen to bring more people into the fold of classical music especially.

Both of them have a vested interest in education and advocate uplifting and developing youth through the arts.
