Edenvale couple held up by robbers armed with knives

"If you see someone in your neighbour's yard, who is not meant to be there, contact the police."

An elderly couple were left shaken after they were robbed in their home on August 21.

Captain Jean Olkers of the Edenvale SAPS said two suspects gained entry to the property by jumping over the perimeter wall of the property in Sector One.”The suspects were armed with knives and held up the husband and wife who are over 60 years old,” said Olckers.

The suspects made off with the couple’s silver Honda Civic and household appliances.

Olckers said the SAPS are investigating a case of residential robbery.

He urged community members to be vigilant and to report all suspicious activities.
