#SandStorm – Motorists advised to be cautious

Motorists are advised to take caution while travelling on the roads this afternoon as a sand storm has swept across parts of Johannesburg and Ekurhuleni.

Here are a view tips for driving in a sand storm:

• Travel at a speed suitable for limited visibility.
• Turn your headlights on.
• Use the painted lane striping to guide you.
• If possible, look for a safe place to pull off the road if needed.

In October 2014 there was a similar sand storm.
