Wheelchair donated to Thembalami

Jeppe Prep boys help the needy.

Sean (13) and Connor (8) Cockcroft from Jeppe Preparatory School help others through bottle top collections.

The boys are passionate about the Wheelchairs for Bottle Tops project.

The project teaches youngsters about the importance of preserving the environment and helping less fortunate people in the community.

Interwaste collects 450 kg of these tops twice annually at Jeppe Prep.

The bottle tops are recycled for various uses.

A wheelchair is donated twice annually to a worthy charity for a needy person.

Over the past few years, the school’s collection has resulted in the donation of 21 wheelchairs.

With the help of Sean and Connor, a wheelchair was donated to Thembalami Care Centre recipient Manuel Rodriques.
