Lace up for a fun run – Here’s your route information

Entrance to the event will be R40 per person and tickets are available from the school.

Jeppe High School for Girls will be hosting its annual fun run on August 12.

The race is open to runners and walkers of all ages and is an event enjoyed by many members of the communities surrounding the school.

Dogs on leads are also welcome.

Entrance to the event will be R40 per person and tickets are available from the school.

Alternatively tickets will be on sale from 7am on race day.

The race starts at 8am at the main school building.

Participants are invited to join the school after the race for the Grade Nine Entrepreneurial Craft Market.

There will be a variety of food stalls for those who have worked up an appetite.

 

All proceeds from the event will go towards a pedestrian bridge which will join the school’s two campuses.

The Race Route

From the school’s main entrance, the race will move up Lynx Street, onto Ernest, down Mallard Street and along Langermann Drive.

Participants will then travel up Protea Street, onto Derby Road, down Nile and on to Ernest Road.

From Ernest the walkers and runners will move on to King Edward Street and will finish the race inside the school sports grounds with a lap around the hockey field.

Participants will be guided along the route by Metro Police, Cleveland Police and marshals, who will also man intersections and keep the runners and walkers safe.

Participants are invited to join the school after the race for the Grade Nine Entrepreneurial Craft Market.
