The Edenvale SAPS is investigating a case of robbery following the armed robbery of a woman in Greenstone.

Captain Jean Olckers, spokesperson of the Edenvale SAPS said the woman was walking to work on the morning of July 20, when she was robbed.

“Two armed suspects travelling in a grey vehicle stopped next to the woman and robbed her,” said Olckers

Olckers said this was the second robbery of this nature – the first one occurred last month.

In both robberies cell phones and purses were taken.

“The SAPS urge people not to walk alone but rather in a group, and to be alert while walking,” said Olckers.

He urged anyone with information on these robberies to contact the SAPS.
