Humanitarian invited to speak at Rotary meeting

After discovering her purpose, Ellis became involved in Nepal and in a small Nepali run NGO (Bring Thoughts to Action)

Kirsty Ellis (26) was recently invited by the Rotary Club of Bedfordview to be guest speaker at the Belgravia Bowling Club in Bedfordview.

Ellis holds a master’s degree in international criminal justice and majored in the subject, The Prison System.

After discovering her purpose, Ellis became involved in a small Nepali run NGO – Bring Thoughts to Action – in Nepal.

Ellis spoke about her experiences in Nepal, and how she came to decide that her efforts would be better spent in preventative methods, social welfare and community development.

She would also like to start an education programme and a permaculture project in the village of Kharigau.

Rotarian, Fabio Janowski da Cruz, introduced the speaker to the Rotarians and guests at the dinner while Rotarian, Billy Phillips, thanked her for an extremely inspiring presentation.
