Good work from Yeoville police officers makes 35 suspects face the might of the law

JOBURG – Yeoville police make 35 arrests.

 

Yeoville police arrested 35 suspects from 18 to 26 June.

The suspects were arrested for committing crimes ranging from murder, robbery and assault.

The arrests were as follows:

  • 1 for murder
  • 3 for common robbery
  • 10 for assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm
  • 3 for common assault
  • 2 for driving under the influence of liquor or drugs
  • 1 for shoplifting
  • 1 for defeating the ends of justice
  • 1 for trespassing
  • 1 for drug dealing
  • 2 for drug possession
  • 2 for malicious damage to property
  • 4 for theft out of motor vehicle
  • 4 for fraud.

“The suspects have appeared in different courts and some have paid their fines while others are out on bail and others remain in prison,” said spokesperson for Yeoville Police Station, Captain Sifiso Mabizela.
