According to a post from Motherboard.vice.com the quickly-spreading randsomware outbreak has already hit countries such as Spain Spain, France, Ukraine, Russia, and other countries.
Randsomware is a malicious software that blocks access to data or threatens to publish or delete it until a ransom is paid by the company/victim the software has targeted.
The Twitter community was fast to react to the alleged threat, with some claiming they too had been affected. At this stage, Motherboard.vice.com has been unable to confirm if the attacks are connected.
