Our residents have their say about social media

We asked Greenstone residents if they believed social media users took advantage of being anonymous.

Community members from the Greenstone area shared their views on social media.

They were asked whether or not they believed social media users took advantage of being anonymous and what they thought the social media users‘ motives were for remaining anonymous.

Phillip Butheliezi said, “Yes some people stay anonymous to commit crimes.”

Flora Mogoshi said, “Yes, people don’t want people to know who they are. They don’t want people to see their true colours, and lie on social media.”

Noel Chidzulo said, “I think so but I don’t really care about social media or people’s action on it.”

Baker Six said, “Sometimes people lie on social media. They lie to get attention.”

Jason Jordan said, “Yes, to cause harm to other people.”
