The annual Jeppe Highland Gathering took place at Jeppe High School for Boys recently. Despite bad weather, residents enjoyed a festive family outing on the historic grounds of the oldest public school in Johannesburg, with entertainment provided by the competing Pipe Bands and Highland Dancers.
“The day offered something for everyone, including fun activities for the youngsters and a craft market with a variety of foods and drinks on sale,” said Craig Holz, IT manager at PSA group.
The Massed Bands display took place in the late afternoon, with hundreds of band members participating in an unforgettable spectacle of sound and colour.
