In August 2012, the then president of the Rotary Club of Bedfordview, David Leventhorpe, the treasurer Diane Leventhorpe and Rotarian Bill Viggers visited the school after hearing that it might be worthy of Rotary support.

On meeting the principal, Josua du Plessis, the Rotarians were immediately impressed with his ambitious plans for the school and the significant changes he had made, which resulted in vastly improved academic achievements.

Discussions concerning the Rotary club’s support resulted in the sponsorship of an extension to the staffroom, where learners were trained in waiting on tables.

From then on, a very close relationship developed between the school and the club, which resulted in further sponsorships.

Special dictionaries and atlases have been donated by the club to suit the learners’ special educational needs.

Other suitable textbooks have been supplied from the Rotary Humanitarian Centre in Bedfordview
