BREAKING NEWS: Suspect nabbed for attempted business robbery

JOBURG - One suspect has been arrested for attempted business robbery and another wounded.

Investigations are underway at Cleveland Police Station after two suspects tried to rob a supermarket at Jules Street in Malvern on 19 April.

According to the station’s spokesman Captain Johan Jordaan, the two suspects pointed a firearm at the security guard. “The [security] guard fired one shot at the suspect,” said Jordaan.

One unlicensed firearm with ammunition was recovered.

He said [police] officials from the station [Cleveland] witnessed what had just transpired and one official fired one shot with his R5. “One suspect was shot in the right and left leg and one suspect was arrested,” said Jordaan.
