Rotarians acknowledged

The function was well attended by members of the association, puppy-walkers, supporters and sponsors.

At a ceremony held at the Guide Dogs Association of South Africa on April 9, six newly qualified guide dogs graduated from the training school.

This comes after an 18-month training programme and a one-month orientation and training programme with their new human companions.

The function was well attended by members of the association, puppy-walkers, supporters and sponsors.

The graduation ceremony was also an opportunity for the association to present certificates of recognition to many sponsors who contributed towards the cost of the training.

The Rotary Cub of Bedfordview was awarded a certificate of recognition for its contribution of three bronze sponsorships.

It also received certificates on behalf of its associated King David School Interact Club and one of the members on the King David Interact Club, Jenna Mead, both of whom contributed towards a bronze sponsorship.
