Attend the May Day Market at Mandeville Sports Club to raise funds for non-profit organisations

KENSINGTON – Attend the May Day Market at Mandeville Sports Centre for a good cause.

The Kensington Renegades are lending a helping hand and raising funds for those in need.

The group of residents, who have an interest in the Kensington community, will host the May Day Market as well as Gun Bowls Day at Mandeville Sports club on 1 May.

“We are hosting the market day because we want to assist Strathyre Girls Home and the Joburg Children’s Home and get some publicity for the Kensington Lions Club and Mandeville Sports Centre. All very deserving organisations that do awesome work in our community,” explained Rachelle Potgieter from the group.

Potgieter said the group is looking for people with home businesses or small craft businesses to hire stalls at the market and show the community what they are about.

“It could be cake decorators and jewellery makers as long it’s a small business, no mass produced items,” said Potgieter.

To book a stall costs R200 and the money will be used to assist the Strathyre Girls Home and Joburg Children’s Home. There are also going to be desks for sale for R1 200, the proceeds of which will go to St Giles Home.

Details: If you would like to secure a stall for the market or to buy a desk, contact The Kensington Renegades 072 344 1795.
