Two on the loose following Clicks robbery

Police hope footage from the scene at Eastgate Shopping Centre will assist in identifying the suspects.

Police have revealed that two suspects are on the run following a robbery and assault at the Clicks at Eastgate Shopping Centre on April 3.

Bedfordview SAPS spokesperson Captain Andrè de Jager said an undisclosed amount of money was taken during the business robbery.

He pointed out that footage from the scene would possibly assist in police investigations and in identifying the suspects.

Capt De Jager said further investigations revealed that four staff members were injured; two men and two women.

“Four victims were taken from the store to hospital with head injuries after being assaulted during the robbery with a firearm. The four have been interviewed by police and investigations continue.

“We cannot confirm how much money was taken,” he said.
