Two nabbed for possession of dagga in Doornfontein

JOHANNESBURG – Two suspects are expected to appear in court for possession of dagga.

 

Jeppe police arrested two suspects for possession of dagga in two separate cases.

According to the station’s spokesperson, Captain Richard Munyai police officials received a tip-off about people selling dagga in Doornfontein on 27 March.

“Police [officers] proceeded to the given address in Buxton Street. They asked a 26-year-old man if they could search his house. “They found three black plastic bags with dagga inside and arrested the man. He was taken to Jeppe Police Station where he was detained,” said Munyai.

On the same day, police officers on duty received information about a man who was selling dagga in Jules Street in Belgravia. On their arrival, they found a 34-year-old man and asked to search his place of residence. “Upon searching the house, officials found 94 packets of dagga. The suspect was arrested and taken to Jeppe Police Station and detained,” said Munyai.

Both suspects will appear in Jeppe Magistrates’ Court while police investigations are continuing.
