Two security guards were left critically injured after an apparent cash-in-transit heist on the corner of Kruis and Fox streets in the Johannesburg CBD on 3 April.
According to ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring, paramedics along with other provincial services arrived at the scene. “They found local authorities already in attendance,” he said. “Upon closer inspection, paramedics found two security guards, both men, lying near their vehicle.
“The two men had sustained numerous injuries and were both in a critical condition. Paramedics treated the men and provided them with several advanced life support interventions and they were transported to a nearby private hospital for further treatment.”
The details surrounding the incident are not yet known but police were at the scene for further investigations.
