Happy hour is a hit with residents

Music was the order of the evening as residents sang and clapped along to Irish tunes.

In celebration of St Patrick’s Day, residents and staff at the Lakeside wing of the Ron Smith Care Centre hosted a special supper with a happy hour.

Preparations started in the early hours of the morning with residents baking cupcakes for their fellow residents.

Residents from the five other wings at the care centre, run by Rand Aid, were invited to join in for an evening of fun and fellowship.

Some green food was on the menu.

Residents’ knowledge about Ireland and all things Irish was tested with a fun quiz.

Some of the questions required participants to know the recipe of an Irish coffee.
