Bedfordview dancers to compete in England

Gabriella Marques, Jessica Silva and Robyn Kirk will go up against dancers from across the globe.

Gabriella Marques, a student at Holy Rosary, has been dancing for 10 years. She will soon travel to the United Kingdom as part of the South African representatives to compete for a world title in freestyle dance.

Three dancers from Universal Dance Studio are looking forward to competing in the World Freestyle Championships.

The Bedfordview-based dancers, Gabriella Marques, Jessica Silva and Robyn Kirk will go up against dancers from across the globe.

Jessica Silva will compete in the freestyle solo category.

The tournament will take place in Blackpool England later this year in June.

Robyn Kirk will compete in two categories; slow dance and freestyle solo.

Currently the dancers are raising funds for their flights and accommodation.

So far the trio has raised R3 000.
