Mrs Shirley and Mr George McTaggart recently celebrated love and life on their 55th wedding anniversary.

The couple celebrated their anniversary on March 3.
Before being swept off her feet by George, Shirley lived in the United Kingdom
She only moved to South Africa in 1948.
The McTaggarts, who are residents at Rand Aid’s Elphin Lodge, were introduced to each other by a mutual friend.
On their very first date the couple went to a skating rink, which set their relationship off to a wobbly start.
George was a natural skater while Shirley had poor coordination.
Despite the wobbly start, the couple’s relationship is a testament to the love and affection they feel for one another.
The couple have two sons, four granddaughters, two grandsons and a great-great grandson.
