Jeppe police urgently need the community’s help to locate a suspect wanted for questioning in connection with an armed robbery.
The spokesperson for Jeppe Police Station Captain Richard Munyai said the suspect pointed a firearm at the complainant and demanded her cellphone at Kasern West Train Station in Heidelberg Road, City Deep on 21 January.
“The complainant handed her Samsung J10 to the suspect. The suspect [allegedly] took it and ran away,” added Munyai.
According to Munyai, the suspect is about 1.6m tall, slim in body shape and dark in complexion. The police have issued an identikit of the suspect.
A case of armed robbery was opened at Jeppe Police Station.
