Murder suspect napped for Denver informal settlement killing

JOHANNESBURG – Denver informal settlement murder suspect traced to KZN.

Richards Bay police in KwaZulu-Natal arrested a 23-year-old suspect who is accused of murdering his girlfriend in the Denver informal settlement on 21 January.

According to Cleveland Police Station spokesperson, Captain Johan Jordaan, the suspect was arrested on 4 February after police received information about his whereabouts. “An identikit was then sent to Richard Bay Police Station where officials in Richards Bay followed up leads,” said Jordaan.

The suspect was arrested and transferred to Cleveland Police Station. “He will appear in court soon while police investigations continue,” said Jordaan.
