Cleveland CPF plans march to police station

MALVERN – An annual CPF campaign, which will take place next month, is aimed at highlighting the upsurge in crime in the area.

The Community Policing Forum in Malvern plans to march to the local police station on 25 March to hand over a memorandum outlining its crime-fighting strategy.

Cleveland falls under Ward 118, and the march is aimed at highlighting to local police the upsurge in crime in the area.

The CPF has compiled a list:

  • Women and children abuse, rape and domestic violence
  • Hijacking of cars, trucks and property
  • House and business armed robberies
  • Drug and alcohol abuse
  • House and business burglaries
  • Dumping on street corners and in parks
  • Early pregnancies, school dropouts, illiteracy
  • Corruption
  • Theft and bribery.
