Little Eden invites community members to the annual Little Eden Fête, to not only enjoy a day with the society but to celebrate Little Eden’s 50th anniversary.

According to Ms Nichollette Muthige, public relations and communications officer of the society, Little Eden is preparing an exciting and enjoyable event for the whole family.

She said to celebrate the 50th anniversary, the theme for this year’s event is “Galaxy of Stars”.

Ms Muthige said the event will be held on March 4 at the corner of Harris Avenue and Wagenaar Road in Edenglen from 9am to 1pm.

“Visitors are challenged to dress up to the theme to stand a chance of winning an exciting prize,” said Ms Muthige.

She urged the community to come and enjoy the day with family and friends.

She said there will be a variety of activities to participate in on the day.

“There will be something for everyone to enjoy,” said Ms Muthige.

Entrance fee is R5 and the society’s history book, Little Eden 50 Years of Love & Care (1967 to 2017), will also be available at R180 per book.

“Proceeds from the event will go towards the cost of caring for our special family of children and adults with intellectual disability. They require 24-hour specialised care all year round, and your contribution will make a big difference to their lives,” said Ms Muthige.
