Mass of Thanksgiving marks 50 years of care

The Little Eden Society will be celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2017
According to Ms Nichollette Muthige, the public relations and communications officer for Little Eden, the official launch of this special anniversary year was a Mass of Thanksgiving. The mass was held at the Little Eden, Bapsfontein, Elvira Rota Village and the Holy Family Chapel on January 29.
She said all those who attended gave thanks to God for His guidance and protection of the society over the past 50 years.
Ms Muthige said the society’s history book, Little Eden 50 Years of Love & Care (1967 to 2017), was launched at the ceremony.
“Throughout 2017, Little Eden will host several events in celebration of our 50th anniversary,” said Ms Muthige.
She said some of the events include the annual Little Eden fête on March 4, a pilgrimage in April, a breakfast honouring women, a star gazing evening at Elvira Rota Village, a gala evening, and concerts performed by the children.
