Scouts’ adventure a success

Members of the first Bedfordview Scout Troop recently completed the National Senior Scout Adventure in the Cederberg Mountains.

The scouts spent the better part of two weeks hiking in the pristine wilderness while enjoying activities which included diving, a commando course, archery, the flying trapeze, geocaching, panning for gold, rock climbing and water activities.

The scouts also spent time at a local village learning about the lifestyle led by the local rooibos cultivators and were taught about the heavens by astronomers.
