Councillor to host flood meeting tonight

The meeting is open to all affected by the floods.

The Central Avenue Bridge buckled and bent after the November 9 floods.

Following the flooding in Edenvale on November 9, Councillor Bill Rundle, of Ward 19, will be hosting a meeting tonight, February 1, to discuss the plan of action community members and business owners affected by the floods will be implementing.

Clr Rundle said the meeting will determine if those affected by the 2016 floods will try to obtain a class action or court interdict against Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality.

He said the meeting is open to all affected by the floods.

The meeting will start at 7pm and will be hosted at the Edenvale Community Centre.
