Man bust by Cleveland cops convicted for possession of unlicensed firearm.

JOHANNESBURG – Man gets eight years for unlicensed firearm.

Johannesburg Magistrates’ Court sentenced Sphamandla Ntuli to eight years’ imprisonment for possession of unlicensed firearm on 16 January.

Ntuli was arrested by Cleveland police on Main Reef Road in Denver during a stop-and-search operation on 20 March last year.

“Upon searching him, an unlicensed silver 9mm firearm was found in his possession. He was arrested and detained at Cleveland Police Station,” said the spokesperson for Cleveland Police Station, Captain Johan Jordaan.
