State of Edenvale Clinic facilities aggravates man

"I don't know why things are like this in Edenvale."

Concerned community member and Edenvale resident Mr Jozzy Ntshinye is worried about the state of the men’s bathrooms at the Edenvale Clinic.

According to Mr Ntshinye, the condition of the bathroom at the clinic, which is located near the Edenvale Traffic Department, has become worse over the years.

He said he was at the clinic at the beginning of January and noticed that many of the problems he had seen over the years are still an issue.

“Over the years I have seen the condition of the bathroom deteriorate,” said Mr Ntshinye.

Some of the issues which Mr Ntshinye highlighted were:

“Why are the bathrooms in such a poor state at a health facility? It is unsanitary,” said Mr Ntshinye.

Mr Ntshinye said he had spoken to staff at the clinic at the start of this year who said there were no cleaning contractors employed at the time.

“They told me they alternate between each other to clean the bathrooms and the clinic,” said Mr Ntshinye.

He said he was told the Department of Health has not contracted anyone to clean the clinic.

Mr Ntshinye said he had been living in Edenvale since the late 1990s.

He said he has seen the whole of Edenvale deteriorate and the standard go down..
