Kerryn Herbst, a grade 9 pupil at St Andrew’s School for Girls, participated in the Central Gauteng championships recently.

Kerryn Herbst, a grade 9 pupil at St Andrew’s School for Girls, participated in the Central Gauteng championships recently.

She took first place in the 50 metre backstroke and the 100 metre butterfly events, second place in the 50 metre butterfly and 100 metre backstroke events and third place in the 200 metre backstroke event.

She was the third runner-up for the Junior Victrix Ludorum.

She also took part in the Grand Prix in Nelspruit held from January 7 to 8 where she took first place in the 100 metre backstroke, second place in the 50 metre butterfly and 50 metre backstroke events. She also took third place in the 100 metre butterfly and 200 metre backstroke events.
